Hello… a little introduction to me. My name is Katie and I live in the little town called Mirfield within West Yorkshire. I have a BA Honers Degree from Leeds art University in Fashion Design. Went on to work as a Military Tailor up until my first child made me a mummy. I now currently work as a technician at Bradford college which has nurtured my love for helping students with their sewing and pattern cutting problems. Which is what has pushed me to venture out to see if this is something people want to learn or simply use me to improve their skills. Workshops
I have just finished running a 5 day Pattern Making Workshop spread over 5 weeks. That took took us through the process to adapting block patterns in your size to your design. I look to bring more exciting similar workshops out soon!
Alongside this I will be soon running more basic sewing workshops to build your techniques from drafting and sewing in shirt collars to inserting concealed zips.
Or if you just want something casual I will be starting a Sewing Social from 6th January 2023 at Royds Mill Community Hub, Mirfield.
