Service Description
Locations - - Monday 8th & Tuesday 9th September 2025 9:30-16:00 Stitch Make Create, Horbury - Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd November 2025 9:30-16:00 Frill & Flounce, Wyke, BD12 9JD Join me, Katie, for 2 days of pattern cutting and drafting up a basic trouser toile/mock-up with a waistband in calico to your personal measurements. The toile/mock-up’s purpose is create a standard trouser block that will work as a template for your further creations. You will be able to take these away to make adaptations for your own unique designs. Alternatively, you could use them as a blueprint to assist you in making changes to bought patterns that just don’t fit as well as you would like. There will be sewing machines provided and equipment. Plus enough cloth to create your toile. But if you have your favourite tools, such as your trusty shears, please feel free to bring them along. A bit about me… I have a BA Honors degree in Fashion Design from Leeds Art University. Plus, a background of working as a Military Tailor following MoD specifications and as a technician assisting degree students to bring their wonderful creations to life! About the workshop… Day 1 9:30-16:00 (0.5 Lunch) - Introduction to Blocks and their purpose - Taking your measurements - Drafting trouser block - Construction first toile/mock-up of the basic trouser toile out of provided calico - Make necessary changes to the pattern Day 2 9:30-16:00 (0.5 Lunch) - Construction second toile/mock-up of the basic trouser toile out of provided calico - Make adaptations to pattern - Amend any tweaks - Go through how to use your individual block £110 for the whole weekend! If you would like to spread the cost please email me at beforeyoustitch@icloud.com. A £35 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place. The remaining balance is refundable up to 2 weeks before the workshop begins. After that, no refunds can be given. Cancellation Policy
Eligible to full refund except the deposit anytime until 2 weeks before start of the workshop. Unfortunately if canceling within the 2 weeks before the start of workshop will result in no refund. If you do find yourself in a position where you do have to cancel please contact me as I will do my best to find a solution with you.
