Service Description
Are you ready to embark on a creative journey to push your sewing skills further? Join us for our exclusive Five Day Jacket Making Workshop, where you'll learn the art of crafting a stylish and comfortable jacket from start to finish spread out over 5 week. Whether you're a novice or an experienced sewist, this class offers something for everyone. Over the course of five days, you'll gain valuable skills, create a beautiful jacket, and make memories with fellow sewing enthusiasts. We have a vast range of sizes available so no size is too big or too small. The pattern has been drafted by myself, exclusively for this workshop & one of the first things we will be doing is using your personal measurements to adapt the pattern to your unique/individual fit. The class will be instructed by myself, Katie, with a background in military tailoring and Sam, Stitch Make Create, who has a wealth of sewing experience. Each week you may be sent home with simple home work to complete for the following week. 9:30-16:30 class times. Week 1 / Saturday 19th April 2025 Week 2 / Saturday 26th April 2025 Week 3 / Saturday 3rd May 2025 Week 4 / Saturday 10th May 2025 Week 5 / Saturday 17th May 2025 --Week details in Images-- Materials:- We'll provide sewing machines, basic sewing tools, and a basic fabric to use to make your toiles. Feel free to bring your own machine if you prefer though. Information on what you need to bring is in the images below. Fabworks Trip We will be available to meet at Fabworks, Dewsbury, to look at ideal fabric to use on your jacket. This service is not mandatory and you can purchase your fabric independently, happy for you to email us fabrics you have your eye on for advice before purchasing. Who Should Attend:- This workshop is open to all who want to take their dressmaking skills to the next level. If you have a passion for sewing and a desire to create your own stylish jacket, this class is perfect for you. The studio has a free car park available. The studio is situated at the top of 1 flight of stairs and the toilet is downstairs. If you would like to spread the cost please email me at beforeyoustitch@icloud.com
Cancellation Policy
Eligible to full refund except the deposit anytime until 2 weeks before start of the workshop. Unfortunately if canceling within the 2 weeks before the start of workshop will result in no refund. If you do find yourself in a position where you do have to cancel please contact me as I will do my best to find a solution with you.
