Email beforeyoustitch@icloud.com for further information on this. ⸻ Join me for this hands-on, 1-day workshop designed to help you confidently use your overlocker and make the most of its capabilities. Whether you’re new to overlocking or need a refresher, this is the ideal opportunity to get to know your machine. We’ll be using my very own pattern, the Lemon Squeezy Top—a perfect way to test your overlocking skills. It can be made with capped, short, or long sleeves—or even extended into a dress! (Though to manage expectations, a dress may not be completed in the allotted time.) Workshop Schedule: Morning Session: Get to Know Your Overlocker & Prepare Your Pattern • Learn the basics: threading, tension settings, and maintenance. • Practice essential stitches, blind hemming, and gathering on sample fabric. • Cut out your Lemon Squeezy Top pattern and get prepped for sewing. Afternoon Session: Assemble Your Garment • Use your overlocker to sew seams and put your garment together. • Troubleshoot any issues and refine your skills with hands-on guidance. • Leave with the knowledge and confidence to tackle more projects at home. What to Bring: • Your overlocker (or let us know if you’d like to borrow one). • Your chosen fabric (jersey is ideal, but non-stretch fabrics work too!). Approximately 1.5 meters will be sufficient. • All materials for practice will be provided. This workshop is perfect for beginners and those looking to expand their skills.
