Join me, Katie, for a two-day workshop where you’ll build your own custom mannequin — a body double that reflects your real shape, not just your dress size. Across the two days, we’ll shape, pad, fit, and finish a form that becomes your go-to tool for sewing confidently at home, taking the guesswork out of fitting forever. ⸻ 🗓️ Upcoming Dates & Locations All sessions run 9:30 – 16:00 each day 📍 Frill & Flounce, Wyke, BD12 9JD - Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th November 2025 - Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th August 2026 ⸻ ✂️ What You’ll Learn Day 1: Shaping the Form • Intro & overview • Full-body reference photos • Taking detailed measurements • Starting with a base form smaller than your shape • Padding, pinning and sculpting the mannequin to match your body Day 2: Cover, Fit & Finishing Touches • Drafting your custom cover pattern • Sewing a toile to test the fit • Refining the shape • Sewing your final cover with hand-finished details ⸻ 🧵 What to Bring • A mannequin smaller than your body (adjustable or not — either works) • Close-fitting, comfy clothing • Pen & notebook if you like taking notes (videos welcome too) • Lunch or grab something nearby (Fridge and Microwave available) ⸻ One-to-one or private small group bookings available — just email beforeyoustitch@icloud.com for details. ⸻ 💡 Booking Info ⭐ £235 An £80 non-refundable deposit secures your place. You can spread the cost — just email me at beforeyoustitch@icloud.com. The remaining balance is refundable up to 2 weeks before the workshop begins; after that, refunds can’t be offered.
Cancellation Policy
Eligible to full refund except the deposit anytime until 2 weeks before start of the workshop. Unfortunately if canceling within the 2 weeks before the start of workshop will result in no refund. If you do find yourself in a position where you do have to cancel please contact me as I will do my best to find a solution with you.
